Our Exterior Detailing Process

1. Vehicle Inspection

Before we begin, we inspect the exterior and take a look at the condition of the vehicle. Every vehicle is different, so the cleaning process is based on what your vehicle actually needs.

Some vehicles need a simple wash and protection. Others need extra attention for brake dust, bugs, pollen, road film, or rough-feeling paint.

2. Wheels, Tires, and Wheel Wells

We usually begin with the wheels, tires, and inner fender liners because they collect some of the heaviest dirt and grime on the vehicle.

The wheels and tires are cleaned using the correct professional cleaners based on their condition. This helps remove brake dust, tire grime, road buildup, and dirt from the wheel wells.

3. Pre-Rinse or Foam Pre-Wash

Depending on how dirty the vehicle is, we may start with a rinse to remove loose dirt and debris before washing.

If the vehicle does not need a rinse first, we move straight into a foam pre-wash. The foam helps loosen dirt, pollen, and road grime before the hand wash begins.

4. Safe Hand Wash

The vehicle is hand washed using clean microfiber mitts and quality soap to safely clean the paint, glass, trim, and exterior surfaces. We clean top to bottom and switch mitts after each section of the car to ensure a scratch free wash.

5. Paint Decontamination as Needed

Some vehicles have embedded contamination that a normal wash will not remove. This can make the paint feel rough or dull even after it has been washed.

When needed, we use paint decontamination products, such as iron removers, to help remove bonded contaminants and restore a smoother feel to the paint.

6. Clay Bar Treatment as Needed

If the paint still feels rough after washing, a clay bar treatment may be used to remove remaining surface contamination.

This step is only done when the vehicle needs it. The goal is to improve the feel and appearance of the paint without risking any damage.

7. Final Rinse and Dry

After the wash and any needed decontamination steps, the vehicle is thoroughly rinsed and dried.

Depending on the vehicle, weather, and paint condition, protection may be applied during the drying process or after the vehicle is fully dry.

8. Detail Touch-Ups

Once the vehicle is dry, we check the exterior for any areas that may need extra attention. This may include trim edges, badges, mirrors, door handles, wheels, glass, or other small areas that are easy to miss during a regular wash.

9. Exterior Protection

A wax or ceramic sealant is applied based on the vehicle’s paint, color, condition, and what will give the best result.

This adds shine, slickness, and water beading while helping protect the vehicle from sun, pollen, rain, road grime, and everyday exposure.

This is not the same as a long-term ceramic coating. Ceramic coatings are a separate service for customers who want stronger, longer-lasting paint protection.

10. Tires, Trim, and Final Inspection

Tires are dressed for a clean, finished look, and exterior trim is cleaned and refreshed as needed.

Before the job is complete, we inspect the vehicle again and touch up any areas that need it. The goal is simple: your vehicle should look clean, glossy, protected, and ready to drive.

Best For

• Busy families who want a clean vehicle without giving up their time
• Daily drivers exposed to pollen, rain, road grime, and Alabama sun
• New vehicle owners who want to keep their car looking good
• Older drivers who want convenient service at home
• Recently purchased used vehicles
• Vehicles being prepared for sale or trade-in
• Anyone who wants their vehicle to look clean and well cared for

Important Notes

Exterior detail pricing may vary based on vehicle size and condition. Heavy tar, sap, overspray, severe water spots, heavy oxidation, or neglected wheels may require additional pricing or a custom quote.

This service improves shine, cleanliness, and protection, but it does not remove deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, or major paint defects. Paint correction and ceramic coatings are separate services.
